Faugères 2022 – 92 Points
Open and approachable now, this is full of spicy fruit. It’s plump and plush, pure fruited, where blackberry meets deep veins of stone and minerals. Texturally it’s very soft, but still has good structure and bite. A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvedre, Syrah.

Faugères Réserve 2021 – 93 Points 
Despite its aromatic shyness, there’s promise here of good things to come. At present it’s leaning into its notes of crushed rocks, and the fruit is bubbling away in the background. Red cherries and berries and a bite of red apple skin, before a rumble of liquorice and comes in. It’s an intense wine, and the structure is chewy.
There’s a long life ahead, best wait to drink it.
